"For the advocate is judged by the response of those whose minds he seeks to change, and nothing is more likely to spoil his persuasive effect than to be caught out in a factual mistake, especially if the fact relates to a precedent of which the hearer has independent knowledge. 'It wasn't that way' easily transforms itself into 'The whole case must be wrong.'" - Neustadt and May in Thinking in Time (Free Press 1986)

Blogging...is it a conversation? Is it evangelism? Is it exhibitionism? Is it dangerous? Is it strategic communication?

Want to share your life online with a blog? <---Should we want to?

{
Are you wondering, "what is a blog?"(Click here for Wikipedia article)}

And now....
Some of us and many of our children have entered the blogosphere. Should we encourage their exploration and watch them stand on our technological shoulders as they prepare to communicate the gospel in the new communication paradigm? Or...should we inhibit such exploration for the sake of safety...or some other reason? Are those who protest to blogging involved in conspiracy theory or are they rightly concerned for the safety of children and adults? If we and/or our children choose to blog, are there general guidelines we should follow? If so, what? Who determines these and on what basis?

Join us at the Moss home on January 4th from 8:00-9:30 p.m. for a great discussion of this timely topic. Prepare now and come armed. Invite your friends from other churches now. Let's pack the house! (email me if you need directions)

Remember ROE #1...Don't bring it weak!

Blessings!
